Beijing plans to build 42,000 charging piles for new energy vehicles
A few days ago reporters learnt from State Grid Beijing Branch, Beijing will build 256 charging stations, 210 distribution stations and 42,000 charging piles, reaching the level equal to providing a petrol station in every 5km and fully meeting charging and battery-swapping requirements for 62,470 passenger vehicles. Currently there are 50 pure electric taxis, 1,060 pure electric sanitation trucks and 50 pure electric buses in operation in Beijing. Since 2010, Beijing has launched the construction of 19 charging and battery-swapping stations for electric vehicles including 1 charging and battery-swapping stations for passenger vehicles and 18 charging stations for buses and sanitation trucks. Currently 8 charging and battery-swapping stations for electric vehicles including Hangtianqiao, Yanqing, Datun, Hujialou, Yuejialou, Majialou, Xiongmao Huandao and Xizhimen stations have been completed. State Grid Beijing Branch's relevant responsible person reveals that this year Beijing will build 39 charging stations in Gaoantun and Sihui and other regions, including 18 charging and battery-swapping stations for passenger vehicles and 21 charging stations for buses and sanitation trucks, meet charging and battery-swapping requirements for 850 passenger vehicles, 300 buses and 1,220 sanitation trucks, and form the south-to-north charging and battery-swapping service channel from Yanqing to Daxing and the network of Beijing-Tianjin charging and battery-swapping stations. At present, the site selection has been preliminarily completed. Moreover Gaoantun charging station will apply solar power generation technology to charge electric vehicles.
