East China's Anhui Province will have built about 50 battery charging and swap stations and about 35,000 charging piles by 2017, according to the provincial government. By 2020, Anhui will have built a charging facility service network covering the whole territory of the province, which will have rational deployment and advanced equipment. According to the Implementing Opinions on Boosting New Energy Vehicle Industry Development, Popularization and Application, Anhui required subordinated governments to involve charging facilities construction in their overall urban and rural planning, strengthen supports to charging facilities construction in terms of land resources, and encourage social capitals to enter the charging facilities construction field. By the end of 2014, Anhui had produced and popularized over 10,000 new energy vehicles and formed a new energy vehicle industry system in which JAC (600418.SH) and Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. act as the backbone.
